Basuki: I Want KPK to Handle Case of Rusty Transjakarta Bus

The intention of the former Head of Jakarta Transportation Department, Udar Pristono who will report Jakarta Vice Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama on charges of defamation is deemed unreasonable. This is because the stipulation of Pristono as a suspect by the Attorney General as legal evidence obtained by investigators. Moreover, Basuki wanted the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to fully handle the case rather than attorney.

"Why the attorney named him (Pristono) as suspect due to my statement? I don't know. I cannot control the attorney," exclaimed Basuki at City Hall, Wednesday (5/28). 

According to Basuki, the demotion order against Pristono from his post came from Jakarta Governor, Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo, instead of him. He asserted, he intends to report Pristono over alleged corruption of the rusted Transjakarta bus to the KPK.

"I want the KPK to uncover the case, instead of attorney. As I already told that I further believe the KPK than the Attorney. Thereby if they (attorney) says Pristono named as suspect due to my statement. I actually talk much because I want the case handled by the KPK. I think Pristono supposed to be grateful that he was arrested by the attorney, but not the KPK," he revealed.

As known, Pristono's lawyer, Hasan Basri assessed stipulation of his client as suspect was due to Basuki's statement in the mass media.

On Monday (5/26), three lawyers, Basri, Razman Arif, and Feldi Taha went to Basuki's office on the 2nd floor, City Hall, Jakarta, at around 1 PM. Yet they failed to meet Basuki and then gave the warning letter and clarification against Basuki through his aide, Sakti Boediono. Afterwards, they left the City Hall.
